The glue usually does not stick to the inside of the bottle because it requires air or water vapor to solidify and firmly adhere to another object. Due to chemical reactions, there are other types of adhesives that stick to objects. Because there is very little air in the glue bottle, the glue cannot get enough air, so it will not stick to the bottle.

We always use glue to stick things together. I just like the basic concept of glue; it repairs objects and puts broken things back in place. However, it is strange that the glue that can hold (most) objects does not stick to the packaging hose / bottle / container. Since it easily sticks to objects, it makes sense to stick to the inner lining of the pipe.

1. Different kinds of glue

1) It is important to note that there are many types of glue. You may be familiar with some of them, but not necessarily all of them. The ordinary white glue that most of us know very well is made of many chemicals called polymers.

This is the most common type of glue and can be used for many porous and semi-porous materials, such as paper, wood, cardboard, cloth, etc.

2) Yellow glue is usually sold under the Titebond brand and is an aliphatic resin (AR) glue. It is creamier and thicker than white glue, and works well on both porous and semi-porous materials (especially wooden surfaces).

3) Then there are certain other adhesives such as rawhide glue, polyurethane glue (Gorilla glue), epoxy resin and cyanoacrylate (super glue). Some of them require air to solidify, while others require chemical changes to achieve a tight grip, but none of these glues stick to the bottle. The glue does not stick to the bottle inside

4) The glue is obviously designed to work after leaving the container, not before. Different types of glue can achieve this goal in many ways: some solvents in the adhesive will keep it liquid and not sticky in the bottle.

5) Take white glue as an example. It uses water as a solvent to keep it in a viscous liquid form. However, when the glue is squeezed out of the surface of the pipe, it will come into contact with the surrounding air. As a result, the water present in the white gum evaporates, making it hard. What remains is a sticky polymer that binds the objects together. This is called mechanical adhesion.

2. Why do Cyanoacrylate glues tend to dry up Outside It’s Container?

1) Super glue (the brand name of popular glue) and white glue (and other commonly used glue) have a slightly different effect. It is not composed of polymers, but a chemical substance called cyanoacrylate. Cyanoacrylates are a class of powerful fast-drying adhesives with a short shelf life (about one month after opening). Super glue is considered to be ethyl cyanoacrylate (ECA).

2) Super glue binds objects together when it comes into contact with water vapor (more specifically, hydroxide ions found in water) present in the air. Once in contact with water vapor, the cyanoacrylate molecules will begin to align and harden, and eventually become absolutely hard and strong, thus providing excellent adhesion. This is a classic example of chemical adhesion.

Therefore, it is strongly recommended to store Super glue in a watertight environment to avoid drying out in the bottle. On the one hand, we have white glue that needs water to keep it non-sticky (in the tube), on the other hand, we have super glue that will dry out even if it is rarely exposed to moisture!

3. Can I use glue (Feviquick) to stick metal (iron) on glass?

This question is controversial: "Can I use glue to stick metal (iron) to glass?".

In order for the two pieces to be tightly held, they should be held firmly on both mating surfaces.

However, the glass is smooth and there is no clamping on the glass surface. Therefore, Glue cannot fix iron and glass together.

4. Does Glue dissolve in water?

Yes, it will abandon the bond. If you add water, it will be unusable. It is a cyanoacrylate adhesive that can be cured in the presence of moisture. When you put it in water, it will immediately become plastic.

5. How can we remove Glue from skin?

1) Use a plastic or rubber spatula or putty knife to gently scrape off excess, then clean the rest with a rag soaked in acetone. Use nail polish remover. Immerse the cotton ball in the makeup remover and wipe it on the skin until the polish comes off. Wash hands thoroughly.

6. Do adhesives melt at high temperature?| Is glue heat resistant

1) Adhesive users often misunderstand that all adhesives melt at high temperatures. Although thermoplastic adhesives do melt or reflow at high temperatures, thermosetting adhesives do not. Examples of thermoplastic adhesives include hot-melt adhesives, such as those used on cardboard boxes or sticks used in craft glue guns. These products melt at high temperature and freeze at room temperature. Just like water, you can melt and freeze repeatedly.

2) Permanent adhesives are thermosetting. Although they may weaken and soften at high temperatures, they will not actually become liquid again. Thermosetting adhesives are made by combining polymers and chemical bonds to make crosslinked polymer structures. Examples of thermosetting adhesives include epoxy adhesives, anaerobic adhesives, cyanoacrylate adhesives, UV-curable adhesives, polyurethane adhesives.

Therefore, applications that are subjected to higher service temperatures during assembly or during use (such as paint baking ovens, reflow soldering, autoclave or oven sterilization), applications that use thermosetting adhesives will not eventually cause the joints to melt below glue!

3) Applying high temperatures to joints made with thermosetting adhesives may be a convenient way to weaken them so that they can be undone again. Generally, temperatures above 200 ° C will greatly weaken adhesives based on organic chemistry (although new developments in high temperature resistant adhesives may mean that the oven must be accelerated!). Please pay more attention when handling high temperature parts, and withdraw them at high temperature, otherwise the bonding strength will be restored after cooling.
